Fried golden.
Folded by hand.

The same empanada recipe Loretta "Kangking" Mortola‑Castaños Marfori started frying in the 1960s — still made fresh every morning, one crimped edge at a time.

Our story

Loretta's empanada is a staple food from the Mortola‑Castaños family, handed down since the 1960s. Every empanada is still handmade using her original recipe — hand-rolled dough, hand-crimped edges, fried to order.

What started as a family kitchen tradition is now a small shop inside Marfori Compound, serving the same recipe to a new generation of Kagay-anons.
